Taking 1st place this week and oh so close to getting a perfect score, going 9 of 10 just like last weeks winner is Terence V with a fantastic score of 54! He's off to another good start this year. He took first place in Week 3 last year and was in the honey a few more times during the season. Taking 2nd place with a good score of 45 is Maxx. Another good start for him too as he finished fourth overall last year. Just a point behind him in 3rd place is one of our first year players Riel A with 44 points. Good job rook! Taking 4th place with 43 is Packer fan Richard, who went to Green Bay last weekend to see his team win. They must be bringing him some luck. In 5th place we have a four way tie at 42 between Brian F, James B, Jerry and Sean. Honorable mention goes to Efrain. CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS! Last weeks too!

In the overall points race to be crowned Champion of THE Weekly Football Pool 2025 and getting the coveted winners trophy for their office or mantle, taking the early lead is Terrence V. Like last year we have a tie for 2nd between the 2024 runner ups Christina & Todd and Packer fan Richard. In 4th place is Brian F and 5th place Carson. Just off the pace is James B.

Just a reminder, people can still get it the pool up to Week 4, in case there's anyone sitting the fence. After that, the pool will be closed.

Week 1 is on the books. Couple of great comeback games on Sunday and Monday nights to end the week on a high note. We didn't start with a perfect score of 55 this year, but we were pretty close.

Taking 1st place with a near perfect score of 50 and going 9 for 10 is one of the original members of TWFP Mike Hayes. It was called the Jean Hendrix Pool back then. I don't know if he ever had a 1st place in the fax machine years, but he was runner up in 2016 in the website years. And he's off to a great start in 2025.

Taking 2nd with a good score of 46 is the husband and wife team that started off last year with a perfect score, Christina & Todd. They were the Champions of 2016, took 5th place last year and are off to another good start this year. In 3rd place we have a tie between Jeff T and Jocelyn with 43. And 5th place goes to our website master Steven, with 42. Honorable mention is a five way tie between Anna, Carson, John, Jose C and Richard L.

The spreads will be set and the pick sheet emailed out on Wednesday morning.

Today's the big kickoff day, the start of the best of the five seasons!

Today we are at 64 players. WOOHOO! TWFP is going strong. And l haven't heard from three of the regulars that were IN last year. We might get to 65-67. That being said, let's all welcome one more new player to the water, Andy Major signed up today. Thank You for your contribution!

We will have five payouts again this year. The weekly winner will get $125 duckets, and the rest of the ca$i$h gets dished out accordingly. The overall winner and Champion of TWFP 2025 gets $600, and the remainder dished accordingly. But more importantly, the overall winner gets the 2025 Champions trophy to put on their mantle along with life's other great accomplishments!

If you have anyone else that wants to jump in the pool, tell them to send me an email with their zip code and I'll sign them up.

We accept entries up until Week 4. If anyone else joins before then, they will get the average score for the weeks they were not in the pool. The entry is still $125.

Just a reminder, you DON'T have to make all your picks before the start of the Thursday game, but they must be done by kickoff of the Sunday game(s). Pro Tip: You can flip your pick and points around as long as the game(s) hasn't started.
